KATHMANDU: Teenager footballers Bimal Gharti Magar, Ananta Tamang and Anjan Bista have been called by Marbella United FC, a third-division club of Spain. According to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), the trio will be in Spain from April 5 to March 30.
Bimal and Anjan are the forwards of the Nepali national team while Ananta is a defender.
"Bimal's contract is almost finalized and he will sign with the club after reaching Spain," ANFA media manager Ayush Khadka told Republica. He, however, said that the details of the contract will be known only once Bimal joins the club. An agent based in Belgium had initiated for the contract of the players.
Meanwhile, Anjan and Ananta will appear for trial and then train with the club for two months. The three players will also tour with the club during its Netherlands tour to be held from March 13 to 31. All of them are the product of ANFA Academy.


All three players are the members of the Nepali national team and U-19 team. All of them were the key members of the U-23 team which claimed gold medal in men's football during the recently concluded South Asian Games. They were also the members of the national team that claimed the title of the Bangabandu Gold Cup in Bangladesh a couple of month earlier.
Bimal, the skipper and also the forward of Nepali national team had scored two goals in the Bangbabandu Cup. Anjan, had netted two goals in SAG during Nepal's semifinal encounter against the Maldives and group stage against Bhutan. Defender Ananta has one goal under his belt. He was on target during Nepal's group stage match against Bangladesh in SAG which Nepal eventually won 2-1.
