The Commission for Investigation of the Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed the corruption case at Special court against 7 individuals, including former Armed Police Force (APF) Chief, Sanat Kumar Basnet, three APF police inspectors and three sub-inspectors.The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Monday filed a corruption case at the Special Court against former Armed Police Force chief, Sanat Kumar Basnet. Basnet is the fourth former APF chief to face such a charge for his alleged involvement in embezzlement of millions of rupees from the stater coffers during his office. Like three other former APF bosses, Basnet is also accused to misappropriating funds from the state coffers by producing fake bills and other documents while or without supplying consignments to various APF units across the nation. Basnet was chief of the APF from April-May 2009 to July-August 2011.
